About Project

Phlebo is Suvarna’s mobile application built for phlebotomists to manage sample collection requests, routes, schedules, and on-ground tasks during daily diagnostic operations.

Over time, the app became hard to use due to poor information structure, unclear task order, and inconsistent screens, slowing collections and increasing reliance on coordination teams.

Our goal was to simplify Phlebo’s field workflows with a clear, task-driven structure. The redesign improved visibility, reduced coordination effort, and helped phlebotomists complete collections faster and more confidently.

User Flow

We mapped Phlebo’s end-to-end field workflows to understand daily operations and on-ground realities. This helped identify problem areas, reduce manual dependency, and simplify assignments, navigation, sample collection, and handovers. As a result, phlebotomists complete tasks faster, more accurately, and with minimal operational delays.

Difficult to Manage Pending Sample Collections

Difficult to Manage Pending Sample Collections

Difficult to Manage Pending Sample Collections

The pending list showed many patient cards with too much information and no clear structure. Important details like pickup time, location, and current status were hard to notice quickly, forcing phlebotomists to read each card carefully.

Because statuses were not clearly highlighted and all cards looked similar, it was difficult to track which collection was next or already in progress. This slowed field work, increased mental effort, and made daily sample collection less efficient.

The billing screen showed too much information in a small space with no clear structure. Patient details, address, test names, and amounts were all packed together, making the screen hard to read quickly.

Important details like the test name, total amount, and collection time were not clearly highlighted. Phlebotomists had to carefully read every line, which slowed their work and made field tasks more difficult.

Clear and Easy-to-Use Task List

Clear and Easy-to-Use Task List

We redesigned the pending list to give phlebotomists a clean, structured view of their daily collections. Each card now clearly shows patient details, tests to be collected, and payment information in a predictable layout that is easy to scan at a glance.

By grouping related information and removing unnecessary clutter, the screen reduces reading effort and decision time. This allows phlebotomists to quickly understand what needs to be done, move between tasks smoothly, and complete collections more efficiently without confusion or delays.

We redesigned the billing screen to present all payment and test details in a clean, well-organized layout. Patient information, collection time, test list, and charges are now easy to scan at a glance.

Amounts collected online and in cash are clearly separated, with totals and balances highlighted. This structure helps phlebotomists quickly verify details, reduce manual checks, and complete handovers with confidence and speed.
